Gorgeous and rare Sonoran sunrise paired with old stock Mexican turquoise cabochons in a fine silver setting, studio fabricated feathers and twisted wire. Lightly hammered sterling silver fabricated curved band necklace with turquoise cabochon accent stones.
Hand turned sterling silver wire chain with turquoise heishi.
Pendant measures 4 1/4" tall

Sonora Sunrise is a trade name for an eye-catching red and green gem material. It occurs naturally as a rock composed mainly of bluish-green chrysocolla and bright red cuprite, that color combination suggests a green landscape under a brilliant red sky.

The Sonora Sunrise stone is quite a new stone on the market for the mine was open in 2006. Its history is very short.  It is said that since 2011, it is more and more difficult to find it, moreover with good blue and red color qualities.

Mine : the Sonora Sunrise comes from the Milpillas mine in the state of Sonora in Mexico. The mine was open in 2006.

This copper oxide mineral helps one communicate love, change, manifestation, and inner vitality all at once. Yes, a crazy and potent stone!
